$109 Million in 6 years?
Seems the Clintons have been busy counting money since 2000.
A quick look at the numbers show you this.
They gave $10.7 million away to charity.
And paid $33 million in taxes.
Which means that thy only paid at a 34% tax rate.
$109 million - $10.7 million = $98.3 million.
$33 million / $98.3 million = 33.5% (rounded up to 34% for the benefit of the doubt)
Now, correct me if i am wrong, but isn't it that the more money you make, the more taxes you have to pay? I don't know about you, But i had to pay a silly amount of taxes. Close to 42%. How is it that someone who makes $109 Million pays a smaller percent in taxes then I do?
Now, don't try and say, "Oh it goes into IRA's and 401Ks" because that wouldn't count towards your income. Anything that goes into those accounts is not actually counted as income until you remove them from the account. it is a tax shelter of sorts for everybody.
Needless to say, I am wondering why she only paid 34% of her/their income to taxes. It strikes me as a sadass move that kinda proves you don't want the government to have your money, but she is sure willing to take my more of my money and spend it on some frivolous program to help feed lab rats in Somalia or something stupid like that. (yes, i made that up, call me a sadass to if you like)
